Surrogacy Cost for Intended Parents in Philadelphia

We Believe In Affordability

Wondering how much surrogacy costs? With our agency guiding you, the average cost of a complete surrogacy journey in Pennsylvania is around $105,000. That figure covers agency fees, surrogate compensation, fertility clinic fees, insurance, medical bills, and legal expenses.

Every family’s number is a little different, so we give each intended parent a detailed estimate based on your circumstances, including which fertility clinic you are working with and whether your surrogate has surrogacy-friendly insurance.

What Goes Into the Cost of Surrogacy

Surrogacy cost is not one bill. It is several parts that come together over your journey:

  • Agency fee ($24,000, detailed below)
  • Surrogate compensation (a base of $50,000 for first-time surrogates, $55,000 or more for experienced carriers, with total packages typically reaching $65,000 or more)
  • Fertility clinic and IVF fees, which vary by clinic and by how many transfers your journey requires
  • Medical and insurance costs for the pregnancy and delivery
  • Legal fees for the gestational carrier agreement and parental rights
  • Escrow, which holds and disburses the surrogate’s compensation through an independent third party

Because the clinic, insurance, and medical pieces vary the most, your personal estimate is the most accurate number. We are glad to walk through it with you.

Surrogacy Costs Agency Fees

Agency Fees

Our agency fee of $24,000 is divided into reasonable, milestone-based payments:

Coordination with your chosen surrogate is unlimited. You only pay the full agency fee with a successfully completed journey.

How Does Insurance Affect the Cost?

Insurance is one of the biggest variables in your total. If your surrogate already carries a surrogacy-friendly health plan, that can meaningfully lower the medical portion of your journey. If she does not, a suitable policy is obtained and factored into your estimate. When we build your custom number, we look closely at the insurance picture, because it is often where families see the largest difference.

Financing and Lowering Your Cost

The full number can feel daunting. There are real ways to bring it down and spread it out:

  • Financing options through our partners. See financing.
  • Grants and workplace fertility benefits, which more employers now offer. We are happy to point you to current resources.

We will also help you sequence payments so the cost lands in manageable stages rather than all at once.

Why Our Fees Stay Reasonable

We keep our agency fees milestone-based, work hard to keep our operating costs low, and partner with professionals who share our belief in affordability and fair access. Because there are no guaranteed outcomes in this process, we do not charge inflated “all inclusive” or “guaranteed” program fees the way some large agencies do. Those packages sound reassuring, but they pass a premium on to you for a promise no one can truly make.

We encourage intended parents to weigh their agency options carefully. Given long wait times across the industry, we are also glad to refer you to colleagues who share our values.
